Theresa S. Plummer, age 89, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 26, 2009 at her home in Marlette.
She was born January 3, 1920 in Omard, Michigan, daughter to the late Peter & Margaret (Sebastian) Krakker.
She graduated from Hadley High school in 1939 and then went to County Normal in Lapeer and CMU where she received her teaching certificate.
She married Adelbert C. Plummer March 23, 1941 in White Lake, he preceded her in death February 17, 1999.
Theresa taught at Country Eagle school in Lapeer County for many years and was the Bea McDonald Elementary Librarian in Marlette from 1964 until her retirement in 1966. She was a long time member of Marlette First Presbyterian Church, where she was Elder and a member of the Church Woman’s Association.
She enjoyed flower gardening, helping people, spending time with her family, especially grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, Adelbert (Mick) & Susan Plummer of Marlette; two daughters, Helen (Paul) Perry of Marlette and Barbara (Art) Woods of Marlette; three brothers, Joe (Billie) Krakker of Madison Heights, Peter (Donna) Krakker of Lapeer and Francis (Liz) Krakker of Lapeer; two sisters, Isabel Leach of Lapeer and MaryAnn Smith of Davison; three sisters-in-law, Marge Krakker of Ypsilanti, Catherine Krakker of Clio and Bunny Plummer of Waterford; ten grandchildren, Aaron & Lin, Mark & Lori, Melinda & Rick, Julie & Marc, Nik & Kathleen, Krista, Dena & Chris, Casey & Tom, Bree & Chad and Lorenzo; eighteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Tom, John, Charles and Nicholas Krakker; three sisters Margaret Griggs, Sue Felton and Marie Stock.
Cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City.
A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in the Marlette First Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Chris Wolf officiating.
Memorials may be donated to Marlette First Presbyterian Church or United Hospice Service.
Visitation will be held on Thursday 11:30 A.M. until the time of memorial service at the Church.
