Theo “Ted” Karl Carlson, age 87 of Waterford, passed away on Sat, Apr 30, 2022. He was born on Feb 28, 1935 in Pontiac to parents Theodore and Norma (Aldridge) Carlson.
Ted served in the US Army, in Wurzburg, Germany, from 1957-59. Upon his honorable discharge, he worked for 40 years in the Printing industry. He played baseball and football at Pontiac Central High School and remained an avid sports fan, especially of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings, throughout his life. Ted enjoyed golfing, bowling, reading mystery/thriller novels and playing pinochle with his card club. He also enjoyed music. He was the world’s biggest Frank Sinatra fan and was lucky enough to have met him.
He was a very detailed oriented man, which could be seen in how immaculate his yard was kept. After working in the yard Ted would give himself what he called a RE-ward – a beer or a Scotch neat, and perhaps a snack to feed his endless appetite.
