Mrs. Tena Doherty, 89, pioneer resident of the Fife Lake area, died suddenly Mon afternoon at her home in Fife Lake.
Tena Philips was born Mar 26, 1866 at Brownson, MI, the daughter of Abraham and Jane Philips. She came with her parents to Walton, when a child. She was united in marriage to Levi Williams of Walton and to this union was born one daughter, Mr. Williams died 27 years ago. Fifteen years ago she was united in marriage to A.R. Doherty of Fife Lake, who also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Fife Lake Royal Neighbors.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Dolly Anderson of Fife Lake; two grandchildren, Leo Anderson of St. Joseph, MI and William of Fife Lake; five great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren and many other relatives and many friends.
The body was removed to the Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley where it will repose until Thu noon when it will be taken to the Fife Lake Methodist Church to lie in state until time of service at 2pm Rev. Edward Eldens of the Fife Lake Methodist Church will officiate and Interment will be made in the Walton Junction cemetery.
