Teddy W. Jasinski, 80, of Kalkaska passed away on Sat, Sep 11, 2004, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Ted was born on Sep 27, 1923, in Caro, the son of Frank and Sophia Jasinski.
Ted was a veteran of WWII serving our country in the US Army. He received the Purple Heart.
He married Dora Congdon on Feb 16, 1946, in Caro and she preceded him in death on Apr 21, 1991. Ted married Mary E Ruggles on Sep 5, 1992, in Alpena. He was a resident of Kalkaska since 1984. Ted was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Shriners, Order of the Eastern Star in Alpena, Kalkaska VFW Post 8684, Jayco Travel Club, and St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, woodworking and nature. Ted loved his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren immensely.
Ted is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Dora (Fred Goeschel) Jasinski of Indian River, Donna (Larry) DeClaire of CO, and Diane (Jay) Shankle of Kalkaska; six step children; six grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sep 15, 2004, at St Mary of the Woods at 2 pm with Father James R. Barrand officiating.
The Kalkaska VFW Post 8684 provided military honors. Interment was at St Mary of the Woods Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home of Kalkaska.
