Susan Diane Koontz, 65, of Findlay, passed away at 9:37 pm on Thu, Feb 17, 2011 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. Sue was born on Jun 26, 1945, to the late Orville and Mary Vondale (Heckman) Boyer in Bowling Green. She married Robert S. Koontz on Dec 11, 1965, and he survives. Sue is also survived by two daughters: Cindy (John) Lathan of Pandora, OH and Christine Kesselring of Hagerstown, MD: one brother, Roger (Vega) Boyer of FL; and eight grandchildren: Jessie Arthur, Mandi LeMaster, Tyler Latham, Deidre Latham, Brandon Kesselring, Trista Kesselring, Levi Latham, and Kyler Hammond. Susan graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1963 and attended two years at Stautzenberger College. Sue was a member of the Powell Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Aide Society, and Cory Rawson CCL. Susan was a former secretary at : Snyder, Alge & Welch, Attorney’s at Law, Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, and Wood County Hospital. She was the owner of Krafts in the Kountry started in 1990; and half owner of Arlington Cider Mill. Sue retired from the Findlay Municipal Court as a bailiff. Susan enjoyed genealogy, crafts, antique stores, flea markets, and her Lazy Boy Rocker. Susan was also a huge Jeff Gordon Fan. Sue loved her grandchildren and attended all of their sporting and school events. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Mon, Feb 21, 2011 at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, where visitation will be from 1 to 6 pm on Sun, Feb 20, 2011. Pastor Scott Bouldrey will officiate and burial will follow in Hasson Cemetery, Van Buren, Twp, Hancock County. Memorials may be made in her memory to Powell Memorial United Methodist Church.
