Sue M. Ort, 51, died at 10:05 Sat Nov 21, 2009 at Bridgewater Centre Nursing Home. Sue was born in Hartford City on May 22, 1958 to Wallis N. Ort and Bernice (Vaughn) Ort. Sue graduated from Blackford High School and attended Indiana Wesleyan University. She learned brail at the Indiana School for the Blind. She had formerly worked at Overhead Door in Hartford City. She was a member of the Full Gospel Lighthouse Tabernacle Church. She loved music and was an Elvis fan. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the Staff at Bridgewater Centre and the Nursing Home for their excellent care of Sue while she was a resident at their facility. Sue will be sadly missed by her son, John Wesley (wife, Wendy) Turner of Texas; grandson, Ethan Turner; father and step mother, Wallis N (wife, Jean Q.) Ort of Hartford City; brothers, Kenneth R. Ort (fiancé, Nancy White) of Hartford City; Steve A. (wife, Traci A.) Ort of Hartford City; sister in law, Joni B. (Johnson) Ort-Meyer of Hartford City; aunts, Nancy (husband, George) Mira; Frances (husband, Danny) Gutierrez; uncles, James (wife, Lisa) Vaughn; Richard (wife, Sue) Ort; special friend, Steven M Kuga of Bridgewater Centre in Hartford City; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Ort and brother, Wallis “Wally” N. Ort. Visitation for Sue will be from 4 to 8pm. Tue, Nov 24, 2009 at Keplinger Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Thomas of Full Gospel Lighthouse Tabernacle Church officiating. Interment will follow at Hartford City Cemetery with pallbearers, Kenny Ort, Tanya Wood, Austin Ort, Prestin Ort, Kyle Ort, and Alex Ort.
