Stanley Phillip Macey, 95, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away Mon, Dec 7, 2020 at The Heritage Assisted Living in Battle Creek. He was born May 10, 1925 in Battle Creek, MI the son of James Samuel Macey and Bertha Alice May (Edwards) Macey. He married Jeraline Louise Lanning on Sep 6, 1946.
Stan graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1943. After gradation he enlisted in the army. While in the army he was loaned to the Navy as an ammunitions runner and was present on the beaches of Normandy. Stan worked at Eatons and Clarks before retiring from Kelloggs and in his spare time he custom built homes. He was also a member of the Masons. Stan was an outdoorsman who loved to golf and square dance. He found great joy in playing music for residents at local nursing homes. He was a wonderful father who enjoyed helping his kids and their friends with homework. Stan will be greatly missed.
He is survived by wife: Jeraline Louise Macey; two sons: Stanley “Chuck” Macey and Gary (Connie) Macey; two daughters: Pam (Mike) Thomas and Roxanne (Joseph) Dabat. Stan also leaves behind seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Stan was preceded in death by his father, James Macey; his mother Bertha Macey; his 2 brothers: Frank Macey and James Macey; and his sister, Edith Southworth.
Private Funeral Services will be held at a later date.
