Longtime Columbia resident Shirley Bernice Bancroft died Sun at her home. She was 83.
She was born in Marysville, MI and lived in the Columbia since 1969. She moved to Sonora 15 years ago.
Her family said she was a homemaker and a great cook.
She is survived by her husband, Burton Bancroft of Sonora; a son, Richard Carl Bancroft of Citrus Heights; a sister, Mary Lou Rockfellow, of Redford, MI; grandchildren, Kim Forsberg of Oakdale and Richard Bancroft jr. of Virginia; great grandchildren, Joshua and Jeremy Davis both of Oakdale and Catherine Bancroft of Virginia.
No servies are scheduled at her request.
