Mrs. Sharron Kay Birgy, 51, of Fife Lake, died Saturday afternoon, Oct 17, 1992, at her residence.
Mrs. Birgy was a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County, and was employed for many years at the 87th District Court in Kalkaska. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, and the church Altar Society. She enjoyed gardening and travel.
Mrs. Birgy was born in Kalkaska County on Aug 12, 1941 t Thaddeus and Irene Angell Tanner. On Jan 6, 1962, in Kalkaska, she was united in marriage with Larry Birgy who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Steve Birgy and David Birgy both of Fife Lake, and Tom (and wife, Kathy) Birgy of South Boardman; one daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Michelle) Thornburg of NH; her mother, Irene Tanner of Kalkaska; one brother, John Tanner of Clare; four sisters, Audrey King of NM, Alta Beasley of South Boardman, Carol Woodin of Kalkaska, and Ann Bandlow of Williamsburg; one grand daughter, Michaela Thornburg of NH; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Rosary was recited at the funeral home on Tues.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wed, Oct 21, 1992 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Fife Lake. Father Patrick J. Barrett officiated. Burial was in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
Memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society, North Country Hospice, Inc, or Right to Life of Michigan will be appreciated.
