Sharon M Ponder, 66, of Kalkaska, died Wed, Aug 29, 2001, at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.
She was born Oct 27, 1934, to James D. Sutherby and Lois M Sachs in Trenton, MI. She was preceded in death by her first husband, D. Eric Newell, to whom she was married on Jun 4, 1955.
Sharon was a member of CETA, Lydia Circle, and St Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska.
She is survived by her loving family, including husband William M Ponder, whom she married Mar 22, 1997; daughters, Cheryl (Douglas) Smith of Wildwood, MO, Candice (Timothy) Warren of Frisco, CO, Coreen Newell of Allen Park, and Christy (Dennis) Assenmacher of Southgate; brother, James (Judy) Sutherby of Sarasota, FL; and four grandchildren.
Visitation was Aug 31; Rev Ted N Turanski officiated from the St Paul Lutheran Church. Burial was at the Coldsprings Cemetery.
