Shannon Marie Bailey, 11, of Traverse City, died Monday, April 1, 1991 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Shannon had been a lifelong resident of the Kalkaska and Traverse City area, and was a fifth grade student at Cherry Knoll School. She enjoyed swimming and ceramics.
She was born in Traverse City on June 17, 1979 to Ronald and Ramona Steltzner Bailey who survive.
Surviving besides her parents are one brother, Kevin at home; her paternal grandmother, Opal Bailey of South Lyons; her maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Donald and Gladys Steltzner of Traverse City: and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Freida Steltzner.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 6, 1991, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Michael Steere and Terry Likberg officiated. Burial was in Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
