Sandra Isles, aged 49, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Kalkaska, passed away Mon, Oct 25, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Rick; and her granddaughter, Gianna. Surviving are her parents, Richard and Norma Isles; son Nicholas Ernst; "son" and leader dog Aries; brothers, Bradley and Scott; sisters Holly and Leigh.
Sandra was a graduate of Kalkaska High School and was a jewelry maker and rock collector. She graduated from Montcalm Community College with her service dog, Aries by her side.
Sandra was working towards her bachelor's degree at CMU; their accommodations included the Defensive Line Assisting in care and exercise for the dog.
A memorial service will take place at a future date.
