Samuel L Snell, 88, of Fife Lake, died early Friday morning Nov 13, 1992 at Tendercare of Traverse City.
He moved to Fife Lake 24 years ago from Birmingham. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Snell had been employed for 12 years as a mechanic for the Birmingham Board of Education. He was a member of the Eagles, Metropolitan Club, and a volunteer fireman for the Birmingham Fire Department.
Born in Yatesborough, PA on Oct 22, 1904, he was the son of Joseph and Alice Dickey Snell. On Mar 15, 1926, in Falls Creek, PA, he was married to Violet Quinn who preceded him in death on Apr 6, 1989.
Surviving are one son, Robert Snell of Toledo, OH; two daughters, Nora Irene Everingham of Berkley, and Barbara Randall of Carrabelle, FL; one sister, Nora Wilcox of DuBoix, PA; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
He was preceded in death by one son, William Snell and one daughter, Beverly Dutton.
Funeral services were held Mon, Nov 16, 1992 at the Fife Lake United Methodist Church. Rev. Gary Wales officiated. Burial was in Fife Lake Cemetery.
