Ruth Wainwright Ellsworth, 81, of Wethersfield, wife of the late Frederick H. Ellsworth, passed away suddenly, Wed, Jul 9, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. She was born Aug 22, 1932 in Ludlow, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late David and Maude (Tolbert) Wainwright. She was retired from the former Connecticut Bank & Trust.
Ruth was a longtime, faithful and very active member of First Church of Christ, Wethersfield. She was also a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Brian D. Ellsworth and wife, Debra of Carthage, TN, Brenda L. Carrier of Brooklyn, CT, and Sharon R. Conte and husband, Benedetto of East Hartford; her sisters, Irene Wainwright of Wethersfield and Janet Gingell of East Hartford; grandchildren, Kristin Bushey, Sarah Schamback, David Ellsworth, and Rachel Galvin and great grandchildren, Nathan and Kaelyn Bushey, Miranda and Tucker Schamback and Riley Galvin.
She was predeceased by a sister, Joanne Wainwright.
Calling hours are Sat (Jul 12) from 9:30-10:30am at the James T. Pratt Funeral Service, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a funeral service at 11am at First Church of Christ, 250 Main St., Wethersfield with the Reverend tessa M. Afshar officiating. The burial will be in Village Cemetery, Wethersfield.
