Ruth Mary Ann Burby, 70, of Alden, passed away Wed, Aug 26, at Munson Medical Center.
She was born May 18, 1939, in Saginaw to the late Ernie and Beatrice (Wilson) Rogers.
Ruth moved to the Kalkaska area from Clio in 1969.
She married Thayer Paul Burby on Aug 23, 1988 in Kalkaska.
Ruth liked collecting rocks and lighthouses, in addition to being by the lake.
She also enjoyed going to Indian PowWows.
Mot of all, Ruth loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Surviving Ruth are her loving children; Terri (Gary) Stingley and Donald Lewis (Jeanenne) Douglas of Kalkaska, and Barney (Angela) Douglas of Alden.
Also surviving Ruth are 11 cherished grandchildren; 13 precious great grandchildren, and her dear siblings, Stuart (Verna) Rogers, of Kalkaska, and Jean (Phil) Taylor of Beaverton.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Thayer, and her sister, Judy McDonald.
For all those who knew Ruth as "mom," her family would like you to know she loved you all very much.
A memorial gathering honoring ruth's life will take place Fri, Sep 11, at 4 pm at Stuart Rogers home in Kalkaska.
