Ruth Lynette (Bailey) Demis, 35, of Owosso, died Sun, Aug 20, 2000, at her home.
Mrs. Demis was born Feb 17, 1965, in Detroit to Harold G and Irene (Harris) Buchanan. On Jul 12, 1995, she married James Demis Jr in Kalkaska.
She graduated from high school in 1982 and attended Mott Community College.
She was a homemaker, had owned and operated Bailey's Bakery in Kalkaska for several years, and had worked with dr. Hollister in Owosso. She attended Immanuel Baptist Church.
Surviving are husband Jim; sons Ryan Bailey and Trenton Bailey, both at home; stepchildren Lisa Demis of Green Bay, WI, Jim Demis of Okemos, and Amy Demis of Owosso; parents Pastor Harold and Irene Buchanan of Sunfield; sister, Jorene (Dan) Ewald of PA; and brothers Ron, David and Ken Buchanan, all of Florida.
Funeral services will be at Owosso First Church of the Nazarene Wed, Aug 23 at 11 am; Pastor Doug LeVesque officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Baptist Church.
