Ruth Fritz, 82, of Traverse City and Kalkaska, MI passed away on Jul 15, 2005 at The Veterans Home in Rifle, CO.
Ruth was born and raised in Manie. Ruth was gifted with a beautiful voice and sang professionally as a young woman. She joined the Navy in 1945 as a "Wave" where her talents were used to help organize entertainment for our troops.
Ruth fell in love with and married Arthur G Fritz Jr in 1946 and family life became her primary love.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Beverly Kennedy and son, Arthur G Fritz III.
She has nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brother in law, Jack Fritz, nephews and nieces and their families that she always held dear to her heart.
Ruth was devoted to her God and family. Her capacity for love and compassion was without limits and this became her legacy that her family and friends must strive to Imitate in her honor.
Memorial services are to be held on Aug 6, 2005 at St Francis Church in Traverse City and St Mary of the Woods in Kalkaska.
Full military honors were accorded by American Legion Post 106, Camp Grayling Firing Squad and the US Navy at Elmwood Cemetery in Grayling, where she will rest beside her beloved husband.
Arrangements were entrusted to Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home of Grayling.
