Ruth Elizabeth Stephes, 76, of Kalkaska died Fri, Sep 30, 2005, at her home.
She was born on Apr 23, 1929, to Henry and Esther Burder in Pontiac. She married Harry J Stephens on Jun 5, 1948, in Pontiac. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Ruth is survived by her children; Robert (Gloria) Stephens of Washington, James (Diane) Stephens of Durand, Charles Stephens of Grand Blanc, Marie (Randy) Hunter of Clarkston and JoAnn Emery of Kalkaska; seven grandchildren, James, Kimberly, Craig, Brian, Jeff, Chris, and Eric; and great grandchildren, Brandon and Hunter.
Ruth was a member of the Kalkaska United Methodist Chruch and also TOPS of Kalkaska. She was an excellent seamstress.
A funeral service was held on Mon, Oct 3, 2005, at 11 am at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska, and burial was at the Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Stark officiating.
