Ruth E. Moore, 79, of Bellaire, died Thu, Feb 18, 2010 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
She was born Oct 23, 1930 in Kalkaska County; the daughter of Benjamin and Ruth (Pitman) DePeel.
Ruth resided in Bellaire for many years. Her pride and joy came in spending time with her grandchildren. Ruth enjoyed going to garage sales, shopping, crocheting, and baking. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, and riding her Gator. Ruth baked many pies for the Wertz Warriors with Special Olympics over the years.
On Oct 30, 1946, in Kalkaska, Ruth married Jesse Moore who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Lydia Saddison of Mancelon, Daniel (Val) Moore of Alba, Kathryn Moore of Elmira, John (Alvareta) of Bellaire, Dorothy (Edward) Potrafke of Kewadin, and Timothy (Joan) Moore of Mancelona.
She is also survived by many grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one sister, Elsie Merkle of Cadillac.
Funeral services will be held Sun, Feb 21 at 2 pm at the Bellaire Wesleyan Church with Pastor Steve Eccles officiating. The family will receive friends Sat, Feb 20 from 2 to 5 pm at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
Interment will take place this spring in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
