Ruth A. Etzcorn, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Oct 24, 2003, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
She was born on Sep 28, 1922, in South Boardman, the daughter of Charles and Hazel (Johnson) Hall.
Ruth married Herbert N Etzcorn on Apr 18, 1941, in South Boardman. She was a resident of South Boardman her entire life. Ruth was a secretary at Kalkaska Elementary School, homemaker and also worked in the Equalization Department for Kalkaska County until she retired. She was the past Orange Township treasurer. Ruth enjoyed farming, gardening, reading, knitting, and crocheting.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Marilyn L (Ralph) Zirkle of South Boardman; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Peter, Michelle, Michael, and Daniel; 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Wilda (Howard) Babcock of Rockford.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, on Jan 10, 1995; brother, Devere Hall; and sister, Gladys Krumlauf.
Visitation was Oct 27 at Wolfe Funeral Home. The funeral service was on Oct 28 at the funeral home. Interment was at Lodi Cemetery.
