Mrs. Ruby M. Lantzer, 94, of Kalkaska, died Mon, Apr 28, 1997, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long-term Care Unit.
Mrs. Lantzer had been a resident of Kalkaska for the past 84 years. She was a member of the Kalkaska Church of Christ, the VFW Auxiliary and the Kalkaska County Historical Society. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and her church.
She was born on Jul 25, 1902, in Bryant, IN, to Edward and Mae Parrish Bennett. On Aug 1, 1923, in Kalkaska, she married Ervin Lantzer, who preceded her in death on Sep 5, 1980.
Surviving are sons Ervin and Edgar, both of Kalkaska; daughters Blanche (Merwin) Hogerheide of South Boardman, June (Eugene) Brunette of Fife Lake, Mary (Lyle) Heinzelman of Hawthorne, FL, and Delores (William) Rainey of Eureka Springs, AR; sister Edith Long of Kalkaska; 37 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, one sister, one granddaughter and two grandsons.
Funeral services were held at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. E. Dan Johnson officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
