Roy O Poore, 69, of Kalkaska, formerly of Brownstown, died, Tue, Nov 28, 2006, in his home. Born Jun 15, 1937, in Tazwell, TN, he was the son of the late Roy and Lula Mae (Epperson) Poore.
Roy married the late Marjorie Kinsey on Jan 12, 1957, was a veteran of the Marines and was employed by Ford Motor Company in Woodhaven for 37 years, retiring in 1996. On Feb 16, 2004, Roy married Gail McKillop.
Surviving Roy is his wife, Gail; children, Randy (Trina) Poore of Lincoln Park, Rodney (Brenda) Poore of Flat Rock, Todd (Cheryl) Poore of Brownstown, Tim (Siobhan) Poore of Newport, and Tamra Moore of Elmira; step children, Danny McKillop of Kalkaska, Robert (Heather) Klein of New Baltimore, Jim Klein of Roseville, Brian (Tammy) Klein of Imlay City, and Jill (Greg) Wright of Kalkaska; brother Larry (Linda) of Monroe, sisters, Peggy (Roland) Barton of Newport, Patricia (Richard) Uszynski of Bellaire, Charlotte Alkire of Monroe, and Kimberly (Jeff) Kazaluckas of Carleton; 11 grandchildren, 13 step grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and one step great grandchild.
Besides his parents and first wife, Roy was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Poore.
Services were held on Sat, Dec 2, with burial at Huron Valley Cemetery in Flat Rock, MI.
