Roy A. Wright, 73, of Bancroft, died Thu, Sep 26, 1991 at Munson Medical Center.
Mr. Wright had owned a cottage in Kalkaska for many years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He worked for 31 years as an inspector at General Motors retiring in 1979. He was a member of Congregational Church of Bancroft, the Bancroft Lions Club and Charter Member of the Sunrise Lions Club of Kalkaska.
He was born Jun 30, 1918 to John and Rachel (Rutherford) Wright in Sibley, IL. He was married to Ellen F. Tyler on May 17, 1942 in Flint, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons: Robert of Owosso, Gary and wife Teri of MO, Ronald of CA; three daughters: Susan Turner and MRs Curtis (Shari) Clymer of Bancroft. Mrs. Vincent (Sally J) Dattilio of VT; four brothers, John and Virgil of Bancroft, Woodrow of Kalkaska and Leo of Swartz Creek; one sister, Mary Lewis of Flint; two half brothers: Crawford Wright of AR and Orville Reckowski of IL and one half sister Viola Scheive of IL; 14 grand children and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Love Funeral Home of Bancroft on Sat, Sep 28. Rev. Robert Koch officiated. Interment was at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Owosso.
