Rose L Battaglio, age 72, of Ludington passed away on Apr 22, 2007, at her home in Ludington after a long three year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
She was born on May 12, 1934 in Spencer the daughter of the late William and Grace (Reed) Robinson. She attended Oneal Grade School and Kalkaska High School, graduating in 1952.
Rose married Benedict Battalglio on Sep 1, 1954, in Kalkaska at the St Mary's of the Wood Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter: Lezlee (Tim) Nielsen of Custer; two grandsons that she dearly loved: Joseph and Cole Nielsen; eight sisters: Ruth Miller of Southgate, Alice Brigham of Cadillac, Shirley Robinson , Wilma Huff, and Lawana Way all of Kalkaska, Danelle Robinson of Traverse City, Joyce Kraeveldt of Warren, Terry (Larry) Jones of Fife Lake; one brother: Pat (Edie) Robinson of Belding; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Margaret.
A memorial service for Rose will be held at 12 pm on Sat, May 5, 2007 at the American Legion Post 76 in Ludington with Father Dennis O'Donnell officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11 am until time of service. Cremation has taken place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Manistee. Final interment will take place at a later date at Brookside Cemetery in Scottville.
The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Ludington.
