Roger Paul Zigler passed away Aug 13, 2007, at the age of 57. He was born in St Johns on Feb 25, 1950, the son of Charles and Virginia (Black) Zigler.
Roger was a custodian for Mid Michigan Industries and attended Greenbush United Methodist Church. He loved fishing with his brother Mike. His proudest accomplishment was getting a job at the Gratiot County Courthouse in Ithaca and took great pride in having his own apartment. He loved playing basketball with Jordan and croquet with Julie, loved singing and dancing, going for walks around the lake and going shopping with Nancy and Sue.
He became a Gift of Life donor helping up to 32 people with his gift and was one of the most unique individuals to walk the earth and touched everyone he came in contact with.
Surviving is his sister, Sue Ann (Bob) Shinabery of Perrinton, brother, Mike (Nancy) Zigler of St Johns, nephews, Tom (Lynn) Shinabery of Priest, Germany, Tim Shinabery of Deerfield Beach, FL, Todd (Karen) Shinabery of Twin Lake, MI, and Nathan Zigler of St Johns, great niece, Eva Isabel Shinabery of Twin Lake, MI, aunt and uncle Leonard and Nancy Puetz of Waterloo, IA, and aunt Jane Matter of St Johns. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A brief graveside service will be held at 2 pm Tue, Sep 4, 2007 at Eureka Cemetery. Memorial services will be held 2 pm Fri, Sep 7, 2007, at Greenbush United Methodist Church, St Johns with Pastor John Pohl officiating.
