Rodney Allen Black, age 55, son of the late Archie and Mary Black of Johannesburg, died peacefully in his home in Kalkaska, Sep 12, 1995, with his dear companion Virginia Cox at his side.
Survivors include, the mother of his children, Sally Black; daughters, Sue (Mark) Wolschon of Kalkaska, Lesa Kochanski o Toledo, Mischelle Black of Harrietta, Melissa Black of Clio, and Tammy Black of Kalkaska; son Jeffery Black of Kalkaska; brothers, Archie of Johannesburg; sisters Maxine Koscielniak of Johannesburg, jean Cooley of Black Lake and Patricia Richards of Virginia; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his eldest son, Jerry. Rodney enjoyed spending time out-of-doors, fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Fri, Sep 15, 1995 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Rev. Kim Hough officiated. Burial was in Gingell Cemetery, Montmorency County. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
