Robert W. Keeley, 69, of Fife Lake, died Jan 9, 2001, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Robert was born in Ecorse Aug 14, 1931, to Otto and Iva (LaBean) Keeley.
He had been a resident of Fife Lake since 1980, and was the former owner and operator of Taffeltown Tavern. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are wife, Beatrice; son Michael Keeley of Southgate; daughter Kathleen Keeley of Kalkaska; brother Patrick Keeley of River Rouge; sister Marian Dankow of Wyandotte; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jonathan, and Michelle; and great grandchildren, Chelsea and Chase.
Brothers William, Claude, Joseph, and John preceded him in death.
Mass of Christian Burial was Jan 12, 2001, at St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, with Father James Holtz as celebrant. Burial was in Garfield Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
