Robert Percy Rich, 61, of 1161 Berkshire Road, died Friday, Jan 25, 1980, from injuries suffered in a snowmobile accident at Houghton Lake.
He was born March 4, 1918, in Sanilac County, and lived in the Sandusky area all his life. He married Marion Babcock March 4, 1939, in Sandusky.
Mr. Rich farmed in Custer Township.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Richard, Sandusky; five daughters, Mrs. Rodney (Judy) Matusik, Mrs. Herbert (Sharon) Ponting, and Vickie, all of Sandusky; Mrs. Dale (Suzanne) Klaus, Deckerville, and Mrs. Dave (Jane) Mann, Snover; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Beryl) Nichol, Deckerville; and 12 grandchildren.
A sister, Evelyn, and a brother, Ralph died earlier.
Services will be at 11 am Tuesday in Hacker Funeral Parlors. The Rev. Fred Timm, pastor of Sandusky Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery, Deckerville.
