Robert L. Jackson, 81, of South Boardman, died Sat, Sep 7, 1996, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Jackson had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County, and retired from the Kalkaska Public Schools in 1974. He was a member of the AARP, and enjoyed horses.
He was born in Kalkaska County on Aug 28, 1915, son of the late Clifford and Pearl Wiser Jackson. On Apr 14, 1935, in Clare, he married Donna Kniss who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Fay of South Boardman, Clifford of Gladstone, and Clesson of Grand Rapids; four daughters, Roberta Bruinekool of Grand Rapids, Annabelle Haviland of Rockford, and Patricia Rodgers and Phyllis Jackson both of Kalkaska; one sister Margaret Wood of Muskegon; 29 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
One great grandchild, Morgan Jackson preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 11 am Wednesday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Pastor David Rosenberg officiated. Burial was in Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
