Robert J Morrison, 76, of Rapid City, died Sat, Jun 12, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Morrison had been a lifelong resident of the Rapid City area, and was employed as a machinist at Super Tool for 21 years prior to his retirement in 1987. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a member of the VFW and Amvets. He enjoyed cards, birds, and camping.
Born in Kalkaska County on Nov 5, 1922, he is the son of Robert P and Nellie (Jerome) Morrison. On Nov 19, 1948, in Alden, he married Doris Harrington, who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by sons Jerry Morrison of Jacksonville, FL, and Robert and Scott Morrison, both of Rapid City; daughter Vicki Udell of Rapid City; sisters Ellen Knepper of Rapid City and Margaret Scott of Traverse City; 15 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Son Charles preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held at 1 pm Thu, Jun 17, at Freedom Park in Rapid City; Arvid "Zeke" Henderson will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be directed to North Country Hospice.
