Robert George Dunn of Ortonville died January 18 at the age of 87.
Born in Ontario, Canada, August 30, 1900, Mr. Dunn married the former Alice Clapsaddle April 6, 1929. He lived in the Oxford area for the last 53 years, and was formerly a line worker for General Motors in Flint. He was a member of the Oxford Free Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Dunn is survived by his children, Wanda Kinkle of Pontiac, Clare and Nora Ann Billgren of Cedarville, Elma Bans of Swartz Creek, Roy and Thelma Fridline and Robert and Shirley Eargood of Flint, Max and Verneta Dunn of Lapeer, and James Dunn and Jerald and Nancy Lamphier of Lake Orion. He also raised a niece, Edith Cuzelis, of Taylor.
Mr. Dunn is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 3 brothers and sisters, Dave Willard and Stanley Dunn and Mrs. Nellie Emmerson, all of Ontario.
Mr. Dunn lies in state at Bossardet Funeral Home Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Oxford Free Methodist Church, with Rev. Thomas Dunn presiding along with Rev. G Robert Sawyer the Clio Free Methodist Church. Burial will be at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester.
