Robert Gallatin, 70, of Fife Lake, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at his home.
Born on July 26, 1934, in Dearborn, he was the son of William and Liddy (Warner) Gallatin.
Robert married Rose Ann Mathers on Dec. 19, 1953, in China Twp. They were residents of Fife Lake since 1972, moving from New Haven. Robert was self-employed as a contractor and had a reforestation and landscaping business. He was a member and director of Grand Traverse Area Whitetails; an elder and trustee of St. Paul Lutheran Church; board member of Forest Area Federal Credit Union and board member of the Michigan Credit Union League of the Paul Bunyan Chapter. Robert enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and working with his son, Richard, in the business.
Robert is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose; his son, Richard (Barbara) Gallatin of Fife Lake; and his brothers, Donald (Mary) Gallatin and Ralph (Annette) Gallatin, all of Fife Lake.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation was held on Nov 1 at Wolfe Funeral Home. The funeral service was on Tue at St Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Ted Turanski officiating. Interment will be at Boardman Township Cemetery.
