Robert E. Vrondran, 79, of South Boardman, passed away on Thu, Jul 8, 2010 at his home. He was born on Dec 21, 1930 in East Jordan, the son of the late William and Louise (Martin) Vrondran.
Bob was a veteran serving our country during the Korean War. He and Bessie were married on Jan 17, 1959 in Watervliet, After 30 years on Old Mission Peninsula they moved to South Boardman in 1998. Bob retired from the State of Michigan after 25 years of service. His hobbies included deer hunting, fishing, playing cards, going to the casino, and working in his vegetable garden. He was an easy-going and compassionate man and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Bob was a member of the DAV, the American Legion Post 0225, and the VFW Post 2780.
Surviving Bob is Bessie, his wife of 51 years; his daughter, Ann Terese (Bert) Mooney of Clearwater, FL; his grandchildren, Matthew, Ann Marie, Christopher, Kristin, and Theresa Marie; his siblings, William Vrondran of East Jordan, Kenneth (Bonnie) Vrondran of Vienna, SD, and Jerry (Julie) Vrondran of East Jordan.
Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred.
Visitation will be held on Thu, Jul 15 from 5 to 8 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Fri at 11 am at the funeral home with Dan Johnson officiating from the Kalkaska Church of Christ. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery in East Jordan.
