Robert Woodruff, 52, passed away on Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born on Aug. 20, 1951, in Garden City, the son of Robert Carl Woodruff and Shirley Ruth McCauley.
Robert worked in the machine tool business for 25 years as a machine builder and toolmaker. He resided in Sterling Heights with his family for 25 years before moving to Kalkaska. Robert was a volunteer at Kalkaska Senior Center and enjoyed restoring old cars.
Robert is survived by his children, Keri Lynn and Robert R. Woodruff of Sterling Heights; former wife, Catherine Woodruff; siblings, Ruth Ann (Roy) Ingersoll of Fife Lake, Melody (Bob) Fitgerald of Kalkaska, Diane (Joe) Garchow of South Boardman, Doris (Burt) Boger, Raymond (Sue) Woodruff and Richard Woodruff , all of Kalkaska; and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Michael and Carl Woodruff.
Funeral services were Monday, March 1, 2004, with interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family of Robert Woodruff.
