Robert B. Thomas, age 59, of Traverse City, passed away on Sun, Feb 2, at Munson Healthcare-Cadillac Hospital due to complications of childhood diabetes.
He attended Traverse City High School and later earned his GED.
Robert "Bobby" was born in Muskegon on Jun 25, 1960 to Robert and Shirley (Fox) Thomas.
Bobby worked for many years at Wick's Lumber and Pro Build. He always took pride in his work.
He is survived by one son, David Paul Thomas of Reno, NV; and brothers, Brad (Kayla) of Traverse City, Bruce (Irene) of Grand Rapids, Todd (Michelle) of Traverse City, and Tracy (Jodi) of Midland. He has many nieces and nephews also surviving.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bobby was particularly close to his mother, Shirley; they had a special bond. He was a private person and kept much to himself in later years. My body is tired and now I am free. I'm joining my parents once again.
No services are planned at this time.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain.
