Robert A. Massie, Sr, 42, of Rapid City, died Mon, Aug 26, 1991 at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
He was formerly a truck driver for the oil industry, and had lived in Kalkaska County since 1973. He had been a member of the Rapid City Fire Department, and enjoyed carpentry and raising house plants.
Mr. Massie was born in Pontiac on Jun 19, 1949, the son of Clarence and Louise Knop Massie. On May 19, 1978, in Rapid City he was married to Jacqueline Smith who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Steven Massie of Rapid City, and Leslie Massie and Robert Massie Jr both of Kalkaska; his father and stepmother, Clarence and Arlene Massie of Imlay City; his mother Louise Massie of Kalkaska; and one sister, Patricia Judd of Kalkaska.
Funeral services were held Thu, Aug 29, 1991 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Jerry Leazenby, pastor of the Rapid City Church of Christ officiated. Cremation will follow services.
