Richard R. Heisman, 93, of South Bend, passed away on Wed, May 16, 2018 at Southfield Health Care Center in South Bend.
It was Dick's wish to have no viewing, have a private family service and then be buried next to his mother in Greenwood Cemetery.
Root Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Dick was born Jan 16, 1925 in Michigan City to Rudolph "Rudy" Heisman and Laura (Dorsey) Heisman Baker. They both preceded him in death.
He is survived by one sister, Leona (Roger) Schlack of Michigan City; special friend and caregiver, Clarence Kightlinger of South Bend; and many loving nieces and nephews, and former students.
