Richard Junior Hillard, 56, of 980 Vine St., Adrian, died today at Veterans Hospital in Ann Arbor.
He was born February 5, 1924 in Weston, to Elmer E. and Ethel M (Plate) Hillard. He married Charlotte Cessna Jun 4, 1945. She survives.
Mr. Hillard worked for Michigan Producers Dairy for 36 years, retiring in Jun of 1977, due to ill health. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Marine Corps.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Gary of Sand Creek, Steve of Three Rivers, and Mike Hillard of Tecumseh; two daughters, Charlene Larson of Sand Creek and Katy Slusher of Jasper; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Services will be held at 1:30pm. Fri at Braun Brothers Funeral Home in Adrian with the Rev. Donald Stricklan officiating.
