Richard G. Newland, 45, of South Boardman, died Fri, May 3, 1991, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Newland had been a resident of South Boardman for the past 13 years. At the time of his death, he was employed by H2S Services, and was serving as Assistant Chief of the Boardman Twp. Fire Department. He was a graduate of the Kalkaska High School Community Education program, and enjoyed the outdoors and country music.
Mr. Newland was born in Whitehall, on Dec 5, 1945 to Ulric and Dora Gun Newland. He was married to Naomi Angell on Aug 17, 1990 in Fife Lake who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Rick, Tim, Randy, and Heath; one daughter, Annette; two stepchildren, Jason and Tammy Krumlauf; three brothers; eight sistes; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
One granddaughter preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Tue, May 7, 1991, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Marion Nye officiated. Burial was in Boardman Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
