Richard C. VanFleet died Sep 14, 2007, at Munson Hospice House.
Dick was born in Flint, MI on Jul 18, 1940, to Cloyce (Pete) and Gerald Dean VanFleet.
Moving to Kalkaska County in 1984, after his retirement from The City of Flint, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time shooting pool with the guys at the Kalkaska Senior Center. He was a member of th eBoardman Valley Gun Collectors Guild and the 45th Parallel HOG Chapter.
On Jul 20, 1990, he married the former Karen Measom Robinson, Bowen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David (Jim) VanFleet and sister in law Janice VanFleet.
Dick is survived by his wife, Karen, daughter, Vicki VanFleet of Flint, MI; step daughters, Sue (Jack) Rose of Muir, MI, Beth Robinson of Boulder, CO, and Lori Robinson of Saginaw; four step grandchidlren; the mother of his daughter, Linda VanFleet of Burton, MI; and a special cousin, Sandy Mount of Grand Blanc, MI.
Graveside services will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc, MI.
