Rex G. Foland, age 70, of St Johns passed away Sun morning, Jun 19, 2005 at Carson City hospital. The son of Earl and Frances Hazel (Brackins) Foland, he was born on Jul 21, 1934 in Charlotte.
Rex was a veteran of the US Army, serving stateside during the Korean Conflict.
On April 23, 1955, in Hubbardston, he married the former Nancy L. Gage. He retired from General Motors Oldsmobile plant in Lansing with over 35 years of service. In retirement, Rex enjoyed deer hunting and with his wife, Nancy, they delighted in finding treasures and bargains at flea markets and garage sales.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Nancy L. Foland of St. Johns; his twin brother and a sister-in-law, Max and Betty Foland of Midland County; special friends, Michelle and Kevin Bailey of St. Johns; and several nieces and nephews.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Rex are suggested to Carson City Hospital.
