Mrs. Reva J Hawkins, 69, of Rapid City, died Sat, Sep 6, 1997, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mrs. Hawkins had been employed by National Twist Drill Co. Following retirement 12 years ago, she moved to Rapid City from Royal Oak. She enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
Mrs. Hawkins was born in Petoskey on Jun 26, 1928, to Abner and Minnie Parks Compton. On Jan 28, 1948, in Hazel Park, she married Delbert Hawkins who survives.
Also surviving are son, Joseph (Joanne) Hawkins of Charlevoix; daughter, Sheila (John) of Rapid City; brother, Calvin Compton of Petoskey, Thursia Truman of Warren, and Shirley Benham of Grand Rapids; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. There was no visitation, and private family services will be held at a later time.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
