Raymond Gordon, 72, passed away Sat, May 29, 1999, at Munson Hospital in Traverse City.
Mr. Gordon was a veteran of the U.S. Army's 101st Division, 11th Airborn. He was a Boy Scout leader for many years, a volunteer for the Commission on Aging, a member of the American Legion, active at St. Aloysius Church of Fife Lake and an avid skier, hunter, fisherman, canoeist, and sailor. he had lived in the community since 1969.
He is survived by his wife Sharon; children Leah and Tim Selph, John and Patti Gordon, Jane Gordon, Julie and Gary Hall, Kelly and Robert Uptigrapht, Jay and Donna Gordon, Cindy and Harold Green, Martha Gordon, Larry Biehl, Christopher and Tammy Gordon, Joseph and Angel Gordon, Mary and Rudolpho Garcia, and Michael Gordon; 24 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 1 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Fife Lake. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
