Ray H Waite Sr, 66, of Grayling, passed away suddenly on Nov 26, 2005, while hunting in Gaylord.
Born on Mar 6, 1939, in Grayling, he was the son of Ray and Stella (Green) Waite. Ray married Eileen J Stockwell on Jun 15, 1971, in Zepherhills, FL. He was a lifelong resident of Grayling.
Ray was on auto mechanic and could fix just about anything. He enjoyed golfing, stock car racing, fishing, hunting, but, most importantly, spending time with his family. Ray was a member of the Gaylord Eagles Club.
Surviving Ray is his wife Eileen; children, Ray H Waite III of Howard City, Barbara J Waite of Gaylord, Carla Waite of Grand Rapids, and Eric S (Lynn) Waite of Grayling; step children, James (Kristina) School of Bellaire, William H (Charlotte) Fiarbotham Jr, of Grayling, and Mark L (Penny) Fairbotham of Gaylord; 20 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, Carl (Carol) Waite of NH, and Walter Waite of OH.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Lucille Hively.
Visitation was scheduled for Tue, Nov 29, from 4 to 8 pm at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. The funeral was set for Wed, Nov 30 at 11 am also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery.
