Ralph F. Weaver, 66, of Fife Lake, died Wed, Jul 30, 1997, at his home.
Mr. Weaver had been employed as supervisor of research maintenance at Dow Chemical Company in Midland prior to his retirement in 1986, after 30 years of service. He moved to Kalkaska County 11 years ago from Midland. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of American Legion Post 295 in Breckenridge. He was affiliated with the Calvary Baptist Church in Lake City, and enjoyed reading, hunting, and fishing.
Mr. Weaver was born in Alma on Jun 13, 1931, son of the late Earl and Belva Oakes Weaver. He married Betty Stover in Edgewood on Nov 22, 1950.
Surviving are his wife, Betty; son Floyd (Tina) Weaver of San Diego, CA; brothers, Earl Weaver Jr. of Coleman and Arthur Weaver of CA; sister, Stella Hendry of TN and two grandsons.
A brother, Francis and a sister Grace, preceded him in death.
Memorial services were held Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Lake City. Rev. Howard Hardy officiated. Burial was in Garfield Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
