Phyllis L. Smith, 65, of Kalkaska died Mon, Oct 18, 1999, at her home.
Mrs. Smith had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska, and was a 1952 graduate of Kalkaska High School. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her family, and she enjoyed golf and bingo.
Phyllis was born in Kalkaska on Dec 8, 1934, to Elmer and Cora Morris cross. On Apr 16, 1955, in Kalkaska, she married Robert Smith, who preceded her in death on Mar 17, 1974.
Surviving are son Tim Smith of Kalkaska; daughters Carla (Robert) Sieting, Dorothy Nelson, and Robin (Matthew) Richmond, all of Kalkaska, and Sandy (Tom) Strand of Corvallis, OR; brothers Allen (Sharon) Cross of Rapid City, and Ronald (Barrie) Cross of Kalkaska; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Son, Eugene (Butch) Smith and sister, Helen Walter preceded her in death.
Funeral services were Oct 21 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
