Phyllis J Hulwick passed away peacefully on Jun 27, 2004, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center- Long Term Care.
Born on Dec 5, 1938, in St Johns, she was the daughter of William and Lucile (Beck) Moon.
Phyllis married Darrell Mills on Aug 29, 1958, and he preceded her in death on Jun 27, 1986. She married Richard Hulwick on Jan 1, 1988, and he also preceded her in death on May 5, 2000. Phyllis was a resident of the Fife Lake and Kalkaska area for the past 16 years.
Known as the "euchre queen" she also enjoyed reading, purchasing lottery tickets, bird watching, camping, the casino, fishing, going to Canada and anything outdoors. She wanted to be remembered with happy days, fun, and smiling faces and the joys of watching your children and grandchildren grow.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Todd Mills of South Boardman, Ricky (Tina) Mills of Fife Lake, and Barbara (John Hulwick) Helsel of Fife Lake; her grand chidlren, William (Shaye Rooks) Mills of Fife Lake, Jessica Shultz of Hulbert, Satonka Mills of Traverse City, Jennifer Mills of Ithaca, Darrell (Jessica) Mills of South Boardman, and Kayla Helsel, Jaycee Helsel, Eddie Helsel Jr., Keaton Mills, Kelsey Mills, and Paige Mills, all of Fife Lake, and her great grandchildren, Gavin Johnson, Trinitie Mills, and Jordan Rooks.
Preceding Phyllis in death was both her husbands, Darrell Mills and Richard Hulwick; her son, William Mills; her parents, and her sister, Barbara Moon.
The funeral service will be held on Wed, Jun 30, at 2 pm at Wolfe Funeral Home. Interment will be in North Star Cemetery in St Johns.
