Phillip Andrew Fairbanks, of East Tawas, passed away Mon, Aug 8, 2011 at the Brian’s House in Bay City, age 59.
Phillip A. Fairbanks was born on May 24, 1952 in Frankfort, MI to the Reverent Edward J. and Willmetta R. (Goheen) Fairbanks. He graduated from the St. Ignace High School with the class of 1971. Phillip was a former employee of the Iosco Medical Care Facility, Tendercare Nursing Home, and the Party and Food Center in Oscoda. He will always be remembered for his true love of people, most especially elderly people. Phillip also enjoyed fishing, camping, all kinds of games, and going on trips and spending time with his family and friends. He was also very musically gifted. Phillip played the accordion, the trumpet, and he could sing and whistle very talented.
He is survived by his loving mother, Willmetta Fairbanks of East Tawas; four brothers: Jonathan (Karen) Fairbanks of East Tawas, Paul (Marianne) Fairbanks of Tawas City, Dennis (Karen) Fairbanks of Harrison, and James (Nipa) Fairbanks of National City; 8 nieces and nephews, many cousins and 2 aunts.
Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Edward J Fairbanks in 2010 and all of his grandparents.
