Percy Lewis Angell, 86, of Fife Lake, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Munson Medical Center. He was born on April 24, 1929 in Kalkaska, to the late Milford and Margaret (Soper) Angell. Percy was witty and loved to make others laugh. In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering, working with heavy equipment, hunting, fishing and trapping; he was a true outdoorsman. Percy was proud to work for Deer Tracks Ranch. Percy is survived by his wife Joyce (Custer), son Clyde, daughters Cynthia Angell and Darla (William) Gurley, grandchildren; Jason Krumlauf, Hiram (Kim) Angell, Angel Tracey, Tanya (Robert) Nichols, eight great grandchildren and sister Marvel Twigg. Percy was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Naomi Newland, granddaughter Tammy Krumlauf, siblings; Maxine Morris, Irene Tanner, Eleanor Ehl, Lotus Puffer-Soullier, Dora Rogers, Nila Corteville, Milford Angell, Milton Angell. Visitation will take place Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00pm at the Kalkaska Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home, with Pastor Kimberland Hough officiating. Final visitation will begin at 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place in the spring at Garfield Township Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
