Mrs. Pearl Mockerman, 87, a longtime resident of the Fife Lake area, died Fri, Jan 24, 1997, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Mockerman was a retired postal carrier, and was a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Born in Kent City on Jun 24, 1909, she was the daughter of Wells and Nellie Hills Eveland. She married Milo Mockerman in 1924, and he died in 1944. On Sep 1, 1945, in Lake City, she married Elmer Mockerman who preceded her in death on Dec 29, 1972.
Surviving are son, Milton (Beverly) Mockerman of Muskegon; brothers, Max Eveland of CA, and Ernest Eveland of Muskegon; sister Marion Behler of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
A son, Marvin, brothers Glen, Clyde, Claude, and sisters Maxine and Helen preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Jan 27 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of The Peoples Church, officiated. Burial will be in Garfield Township Cemetery in the spring.
